Happy Birthday little champion!!

Good morning,
another day, another work; this time I made a combo between a card and a bookmark. A girl asked me these two coordinated creations for her son's birthday, this little boy plays basketball and he totally loves it (I'm an ex-player too, so I can understand his passion), so why don't create something about this sport?!? The little champion is going to celebrate his 8th year in this world, I think this is an important age, so we must celebrate it with joy and happiness; I decided to use the famous colours of basket: orange, black and brown, and seen that we are in Fall period, I was so ispiring from this colours! A lot of buttons and star complete the scene... for a brilliant and shining career in this sport!

un altro giorno, un altro lavoro; questa volta ho fatto una combo tra una card e un segnalibro. Una ragazza mi ha chiesto queste due creazioni coordinat per il compleanno di suo figlio, il piccolo gioca a basket e ne è totalmente innamorato (sono anche io una ex-giocatrice, quindi posso comprendere la sua passione), così perchè non creare qualcosa attorno a questo sport?!? Il piccolo campione dovrà festeggiare il suo ottavo anno in questo mondo, penso che questa sia un'età importante, quindi dobbiamo festeggiarla in grande, con gioia e felicità; ho decido di usare i famosi colori del basket: arancione, nero e marrone, e visto che siamo nel periodo autunnale, sono stata molto ispirata da questi colori! Tanti bottoni e stelle completano il tutto... per una carriera brillante e splendente in questo sport!

Happy day,
yes, yes, I know, is an era that I didn't write here, but you can believe, this last period has been fuuuull of commissions, from everywhere! Who asked me bookmarks, who wind canes, who cards... uuuuff!! A tornado of creations assailed my days, but I'm safe now!
Today I want bring your attention on the new Some Odd Girl challenge: STITCH IT UP! Yes, you have good understand, you must use a stitch on your creation, real or faux, by hand or by machine isn't important, must only put a stitching on that is a big centre of attention of your work.

This is my creation, it was hard cutting all these notes, but I think the finally effect is great, uhm?!

Questa è la mia creazione, è stata dura tagliare tutte le note, ma penso che l'effetto finale sia grandioso, eh!?!

CHALLENGES...

Buonasera,
sono qui per segnalarvi due nuovi challenge: il primo è il sesto challenge di Deep Ocean con il tema "Light Blue" (iniziato martedì 16 agosto, ma lo scrivo oggi visto che ero in vacanza) e quello della Some Odd Girl (fresco fresco di giornata) con il tema "Paper Piecing" ... che dire, non sono bellissimi?! Ispirazioni a go-gò, insomma, soprattutto se passate a vedere ciò che i compenenti dei due DT sono stati capaci di realizzare... Rimarrete a bocca aperta!
Per quanto riguarda Deep Ocean, le regole sono sempre le stesse: card, LO, easel card, segnalibri, shaker card, qualunque cosa sia cartacea è accettata, non c'è limite per l'entrate per singola persona, NON backlinkare (mi raccomandooo!!), scrivere nel post sul proprio blog che si partecipa al challenge e iscriversi tramite InLinkz in questa pagina. Vorrei vedere tanta, tanta partecipazione ai challenge di questo gruppo, purtroppo però mi rendo conto che siamo ancora un po' sconosciuti (siamo anche in estate, va ammesso, quindi molti adesso sono con i piedi in acqua salata e la testa altrove).
Tutti conoscono la tecnica del Paper Piecing (io l'ho usata sul cappuccio e sui pantaloni, ingrandite la foto per vedere meglio), per questo sono sicura che non c'è bisogno che ve la spieghi (ma se mi sbaglio correggetemi eh), quindi senza altro indugio vi presento il challenge iniziato oggi, indetto da Some Odd Girl: il fortunato vincitore si porterà a casa alcuni timbri a scelta (ovviamente marchiati SOG) e come al solito ci sarà l'ardua scelta dei due preferiti. Quindi, forbici alla mano, tagliuzzate un po' di carta e inventatevi un colorato vestito floreale per Mae o Tia, o un divertente paio di pantaloni estivi per Kody! Divertitevi e non risparmiate la vostra fantasia!!

I'm here for put the spotlight on two new challenges: first is Deep Ocean's sixth challenge with the theme "Light Blue" (started tuesday 16 August, but i must write about today seen that I was in holiday) and Some Odd Girl's challenge (fresh daily) with the theme "Paper Piecing" ... what can I say, aren't they beautiful?! Inspirations a go-go, in short, especially if you pass to see what the DT members made... Wow, your mouths will remain open for hours, I swear!
About Deep Ocean, the rules are the same: card, LO, easel card, bookmarks, shaker card, everything that is paper and material is ok, there is no limit for the entries for each person, NOT backlinking (you'd better do not this), write in the post on own blog that the project competes to challenge and enter own name, link (the post, not the blog) and mail trought InLinkz on this page. I would see a lot of entries on this group, but I realize that we are still a little unknown (we are in summer now, too, so a lot of people have the feet under the salt water and are miles away).
Everybody know Paper Piecing tecnique (I used it on cap and pants, enlarge the photo for see details), for this I can’t see the need to talk about (but if I wrong, tell me, ok?!), so without more delay I introduce you the challenge started today, created by Some Odd Girl:The lucky winner will bring at home some stamps of his choice (by SOG) and as usual there will be the hard choice of favourites. So, be ready at scissor point (hope you understand what I want say), cut a little of paper and devise a flower colored dress for Mae o Tia, or a funny summery pants fo Kody or Tobie!! Let's fun and don't economize your fantasy!!

SUNNY HUNNY HOLIDAY

Tornataaaaaa!! Vi sono mancata?! Beh voi siete mancati a me, e molto anche!
Dunque, dunque, dunque... Vacanze adorabili, assolate, calde, felici, in ottima compagnia e per il gran finale... raffreddata!! Ta-daaaan!! Ehehe sì, sono tornata a casa un po' malaticcia, ma felicemente riposata, con un'esperienza fantastica da ricordare, custodire e raccontare, con il sorriso stampato in faccia e una macchina fotografica carica, carica di... foto! Ho fatto due piccoli collage di alcune fra le migliori, spero le gradirete... ma cominciamo dal principio: 15 giorni nella città Partenopea sono un'esperienza che consiglio a tutti almeno una volta nella vita, ancor meglio se ripetibile, e ripetibile, e ripetibile, e ripetibile. Siamo stati ospiti della famiglia del mio ragazzo per queste due settimane, che abbiamo riempito viaggiando tra le mete turistiche più famose, Pompei, Caserta, Sorrento... aaaaah che meraviglia, non ci sono parole per descrivere questi posti straordinari! Quindi lasciatemi sorprendervi con alcune immagini... ok?

Coooome back!! Did you miss me?! I miss you, so much!
So, so, so... Lovely holidays, sunny, hot, happy, in good company and for the closing... I caught the cold!! Ta-daaaaan!! Eheheh, yes, I come back a little sick, but happily had rest, with a fantastic experience to remember, to care of and talk about, with a big smile printed on my face and a camera full of... photoes!! I made two little collages with some among the best, hope you like them... but let's start from the beginning: 15 days in the Neapolitan city is an experience that I recommend to everybody, at least one time in the life, better if you repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat. We were played host in my boyfriend's home for these two weeks, that we filled visiting famous destinations, Pompei, Caserta, Sorrento... aaaah what a beautiful places, there aren't words to describe that amazing landscapes! So let me surprise you with some picture... ok? ;)

Il Parco della Reggia di Caserta (Caserta, Napoli) è davvero bellissimo, un'immensità tutta verde in cui perdersi, circondato da arte e natura... davvero un paradiso! Il Giardino Inglese, la cui entrata è vicino alla cascata finale, è splendido: piante di ogni tipo, spazi infiniti di erba e alberi, angoli incantevoli... c'è da perdere la testa; niente però è paragonabile alle favolose cascate e fontane del Parco, ricche di statue e grandi pescioloni che nuotano tranquillamente nell'acqua verde. Non parliamo poi dell'interno della Reggia, una meraviglia senza tempo.
Sorrento poi è splendente: ricca di sole, mare, angoli incantevoli e dell'ottimo gelato. A proposito vi segnalo Bougainvillea (http://www.bougainvillea.it/it/), in corso Italia 16, uno splendido bar - ristorante - gelateria (fa coppe gelato, anche con frutta fresca, da mangiare con gli occhi... GNAM!! guardate la foto e ditemi se non è una meraviglia: panna, fragole e gelato al fior di latte, ma ne ha tantissime altre). Dentro al paese potete trovare tantissimi negozietti davvero bellissimi, con souvenir tipici e non (non tutto il limoncello è quello autentico, con vero succo di limone, quindi non fatevi fregare)... personalmente ho acquistato degli orecchini bellissimi, troverete soprattutto ceramiche, gioiellerie (corallo e argento), rivenditori di quadri artigianali, ristoranti. Bellissima!
Spero che vi sia piaciuto tutto, ci vediamo domani per un nuovo challenge SOG ;)

The Park of Royal Palace in Caserta (Caserta, Naples) is really beautiful, a vastness of green where get lost, between art and nature... a paradise! The English Garden, which entry is near to final fall, is amazing: plants of every type, infinities spaces of grass and trees, charming corners... you can lose your head, believe me; nothing is comparable to incredible falls and fountains in the Park, rich of statues and big fishes who swim slowly in green water. The Royal Palace inside then... a timeless wonder.
Sorrento is shining: rich of sun, sea, lovely corners and a excellent ice-cream. About this, I recommend you Bougainvillea (http://www.bougainvillea.it/en/), in corso Italia 16, a beautiful bar - restaurant - ice-cream parlour (it has ice-cream bowls, with fresh fruit too, that you can east with eyes... GNAM!! see the photo and tell me if it isn't a wonder: cream, strawberries and ice cream flavour made from milk, sugar and cream, but there are a lot of others). Inside the village you can find a lot of shops so lovely, with typical or not souvenir (not all the "limoncello" is the wholesome Neapolitan juice so don't have diddle)... personally I bought a pair of superb earrings, you'll mostly find pieces of pottery, jeweller's shop (coral and silver), handmade paintings seller, restaurants. Beautiful!

New challenge on Some Odd Girl

Happy crafty day my dear friends, hope your week's been going well - we Odd Girls have certainly been looking forward to this day, and we're glad it's finally arrived! The new term has begun, and you got to meet all of the new Odd Girls last week, and the great works by old SOG too, and we shared some sneaks of the brand new digi release, and today, for this challenge, you're going to see those same digis in action!
Thank you for joined us four our Thank You challenge last week, and for the warm welcome to the new girls and a lovely goodbye for the old. Let me tell you, I'm so grateful with all the girls from past terms who gave me a lot of inspirations, their works are always fabolous and I'm sure every girl will feel a bit Odd Girl forever!!
I'm going to be with this amazing team for next six months... and, how can I tell you?! I'm so excited!
So let's get this party started with a new challenge, shall we? We know there are a lot of you who LOVE your color challenges, so we're going to give you LOTS of options for this one!

I'm sure you all know how useful the color wheel can be when you're looking for paint for a room, or trying to coordinate your curtains with your carpet, or playing around with something in graphic design. Today, we are challenging you to choose two COMPLIMENTARY colors for your projects! (this is the part where you have to read the deets). To be specific, two colors OPPOSITE one another on the wheel, like YELLOW and PURPLE - we don't mind if you add in a couple of shades, but if you choose BLUE and ORANGE, for example, you should stick to BLUE-GREEN, BLUE-VIOLET, RED-ORANGE or YELLOW-ORANGE for your additional hues. Careful not to be tossin' in some RED or YELLOW, or that won't work for our challenge. (we'll make the exception, of course, for skin and hair.

Buondì scrapposo amici miei, spero che la vostra settimana stia procedendo bene - noi Odd Girls stiamo aspettando da un bel po' di tempo questo giorno, e siamo lieti che sia finalmente arrivato! Il nuovo "mandato" è finalmente arrivato, e avete avuto l'opportunità d'incontrare tutte le Odd Girls la scorsa settimana, e i meravavigliosi delle vecchie ragazze SOG, e vi abbiamo mostrato alcune realizzazioni con i nuovi timbri digitali rilasciati, e oggi, per questo challenge, vi mostreremo quelli stessi digi in azione!

Allora facciamo iniziare questo party con il nuovo challenge, mi seguite? Sappiamo che qui ci sono tantissime persone che AMANO i challenge sui colori, così stiamo per darvi tantissime opzioni per questo!

Sono sicura che tutti voi sapete come usare questa "ruota dei colori", che può essere come quando quando pensate a come colorare la vostra stanza, o cercare di coordinare le vostre tende con il vostro tappeto, o creare qualcosa in grafica. Oggi vi sfidiamo a scegliere due colori COMPLeMENTARI per i vostri progetti! (questa è la parte dove dovete leggere attentamente i dettagli). Per essere specifici, due colori OPPOSTI uno all'altro sulla ruota, come GIALLO e VIOLA - non prestiamo attenzione se voi mettete una coppia di sfumature qua e là, ma se per esempio voi scegliete BLUE e ARANCIO a cui potete accoppiare/attaccare il BLUE-VERDE, BLUE-VIOLA, ROSSO-ARANCIO o GIALLO-ARANCIO come tinte aggiuntive. Attenzione a non mischiare del ROSSO o del GIALLO, o la creazione non sarà valida per il nostro challenge. (ovviamente, fa eccezione la colorazione della pelle e dei capelli).

Yes, it's true, I'm a new Some Odd Girl... It's amazing, incredible, and I can't believe yet to be in that deliscious DT, but I want tell the truth, I'm really proud to see that badge there, in my sidebar... Oh dear!! I could cry...
I didn't believe to my eyes when I received the e-mail from Kristy who told me this great news... I'm sure to have been 30 minutes reading and re-reading her words fighting with my doubts. And then I discovered that all was true! I'm sure that this incredible travel will be a beautiful, beautiful experience, side by side with some among most great artists I've never seen... I wait so long to public this announcement and finally the moment is here... I AM A NEW SOME ODD GIRL!!

I catch the occasion to invite you to follow new releases (ready to be bought from Aug. 8th) and DT presentation, with a show of lovely, amazing projects from all the girls, and follow next challenges too: beautiful themes are waiting for you and your super works, don't deceive them!!

Sì, è vero, sono una nuova Some Odd Girl... E' fantastico, incredibile, e non posso crederci ancora di essere in un DT così delizioso, ma voglio dire la verità, sono davvero molto orgogliosa di vedere quel badge lì, nella mia sidebar... Oh cielo!! Potrei piangere...
Non potevo credere ai miei occhi quando ho ricevuto la mail da Kristy che mi annunciava questa grande notizia... Sono sicura di essere stata 30 minuti leggendo e rileggendo le sue parole combattendo contro i miei dubbi e la mia incertezza. E dopo ho scoperto che tutto era vero! Sono sicura che questo incredibile viaggio sarà una bellissima, bellissima esperienza, fianco a fianco con alcune fra le più grandi artiste che ho mai visto... Ho aspettato così tanto a pubblicare questo annuncio e ora finalmente il momento è arrivato... SONO UNA NUOVA SOME ODD GIRL!!
